Pizza Assassin
A comedic pixel-art stealth platformer for iPhone and Android

Overview
Pizza Assassin is a comedic pixel-art platformer about a pizza courier who is secretly an assassin. Rival couriers are stealing your customers, and your job is to sneak past them, strike from behind and get the pizza to the door while it’s still hot.
The game has 40 levels across 6 worlds and is built for phones in landscape. It is free and plays fully offline, with no ads, in-app purchases, sign-up or data collection. It is available in six languages: English, Turkish, German, French, Italian and Brazilian Portuguese. It is being prepared for release on the App Store and Google Play.
Gameplay
- Stealth enemies: guards patrol, investigate noises, chase, sleep and stop to eat. A suspicion meter warns you before they spot you, and an unaware enemy goes down in one hit from behind.
- Tricks: toss a pizza slice to lure enemies away, hide under a pizza box while you keep still, or turn off the lights. In dark levels, lamps and torches decide what enemies can see.
- Three stars per delivery: one for delivering, one for beating the par time and one for taking no damage.
- Hidden toppings and ghost runs: each level hides three toppings, 120 in total, and your best run plays back as a ghost to race against.
- Rewards: stars unlock outfits. There are 18 achievements and a best-time leaderboard for every level on Game Center and Google Play Games.
- Comfort options: three control sizes, adjustable button opacity, a left-handed layout, three camera zoom levels, and switches for haptics and screen shake.
How it’s built
- Levels as text. Each level is an ASCII map, and a build script turns the maps into Godot scenes.
- Generated assets. The pixel art is written as ASCII in code and turned into sprite sheets by scripts. The chiptune sound effects and music are synthesized by a deterministic script.
- Testable game logic. Movement, enemy AI and pause handling are plain classes that run without the scene tree. The game avoids global autoloads, so tests and tools can load any part of it on its own.
- Offline-safe game services. Achievements and scores count as sent only after Game Center or Play Games confirms them, so anything earned offline is uploaded later.
- Scripted playthroughs. Recorded input scripts replay 18 levels and pass only if the pizza is delivered under par with no damage. The same scripts drive the gameplay video capture, and they also run in the iOS Simulator and on an Android emulator.
- Store automation. Scripts capture the store screenshots in real levels for all six languages, upload the listings and prepare submissions, and only print what they would change unless they are told to apply it.
